"When I built my first custom stables slightly more than eight years ago, one of my greatest concerns was the stall mat selection. Frankly, I would rather have had no stall mats, than mats constantly shifting and tripping horses, requiring extra shavings to hide the problems in an attempt to make horses comfortable, and most of all I dreaded the burden of having to move heavy mats and repack stall foundations. Mission accomplished, thanks to Promat, Inc for delivering an excellent product. The horses love it because it is comfortable, I love it because it looks perfect (even after 8 years). We bed the stalls only as needed and use far less shavings than I ever could have imagined, and it takes less time to clean stalls when using less bedding. When I decided recently to move to another city and build from scratch
again, my first phone call was to Promat, Inc. and fortunately, the service is as good as ever. I have confidence that my horses are going to feel right at home in their new home, thanks to Promat, Inc."

"StableComfort is the new generation of horse stabling. It’s definitely the way to go and is far superior compared to using shavings. StableComfort is great for my touring horses, stallions, mares, and has proven very beneficial in foaling. All together you’re in for huge savings on shavings and vet bills. I would recommend StableComfort to anyone."

"I’ve tried a lot of stable floor products over the years. Finally I have a Mattress that does what it’s supposed to do. StableComfort is installed in one piece which means we have no maintenance. My horses are safe and happy in their stable, and my muck heap is much more manageable."

"The summer of 2008 we built a new barn for our therapeutic riding center to include 15 stalls. Most of our horses are senior horses with some arthritis and we wanted to have the best available products for their stalls. After much research, we decided to go with the StableComfort system. Wow what a difference!! The horses are more rested, they don’t stock up from being in their stalls and are pretty much pain free, not to mention, mucking stalls is a breeze. We are completely satisfied with our decision and their customer service department is really there to help. Service was excellent. On behalf of our horses and volunteers, we can’t thank you enough. We recommend your stall flooring to everyone!"

"I have had one of these wonderful StableComfort mattress’s down in my stable complex now for approx 6 yrs and cannot highly recommend this product enough.
This mat has reduced bedding costs and work in keeping the stable clean and all ponies that are placed in this stable love the extra comfort the mattress provides and are always happy and well rested regardless of how long they are in the stable for.
I have recommended this mat to a number of friends and acquaintances since having my mat installed and all that have followed my recommendations have had the same positive results that I have enjoyed for the time I have been using this mattress.
We have been so impressed with this product that now that it is once again available in Australia we are looking at having mats placed in all our other stables."

"I would like to take a moment of your time to tell you about my experience with StableComfort and your Company. As the former Vice President of a large manufacturing company, I am extremely sensitive about suppliers doing what they commit to and also that their products perform as described. Promat has earned very good marks in both categories.
At Silver Leaf Ranch, we raise Cutting Horses and it is extremely important for them to have good legs and hooves. I have looked, for a number of years, for a product I could place over the concrete floors in our stalls, which would cushion my horses and also be easy to maintain. We considered lots of different types of rubber mats but while they helped, they did not provide the cushioning we required.
After reading about your product and checking a couple of references, I determined that it had the potential to meet our cushioning and maintenance requirements. So I placed it in the 7 stalls of one of our barns.
The results were excellent and immediate. It totally eliminated any problems we have experienced in the past with horses “stocking up” and the stalls are very easy to clean. In fact, it takes only one bag of shavings to bed down a 10’ x 12’ stall and one person can clean all the stalls in 45 minutes or less.
Our horses are clean and comfortable and our costs of maintenance have been substantially reduced. Thank you for providing us with this product. I would be very glad to provide references to any of your potential customers."

"We have a mare here at our facility who suffers from Cushing’s Syndrome.
She has constant laminitis as a result and doesn’t move around much. Since installing the Promat system, she is much more comfortable (really doesn’t want to leave the stall at all!), but her legs are not stocked up like they used to be when stalled on 3/4” rubber mats. This is a huge improvement.
Also, because of the soft support she now receives, her hoof walls are finally getting the stimulation they need to grow—all around—not just in her heal area. She is much improved and because of it she is moving around a lot more. We are grateful for the ProMat Stablecomfort Stall System!"

"First, I would like to thank you for all your help in getting my stalls mat system ordered and delivered.
Your stall mat system is an absolutely amazing product.
We were a little hesitant to make those first cuts. After that it was a simple installation process to follow.
We have been using the stalls now for over 4 months and have cut our shaving usage dramatically. We are able to make a single bag of shavings last for 6 nights. We are able to strip our stalls in about 5 minutes apiece every morning. There is no aroma in the stall area. Our foaling stalls can be cleaned and disinfected between uses. Not to mention the outstanding footing it provides.
I just can’t say enough about your product and your service.
Please keep us up to date on your system for horse trailers."

"Just wanted to drop you a line,to tell how happy we are about the Promat StableComfort product. We only have two stalls finished, out of a five stall barn. As stalls are needed we will only use Promat in them. The benefit for our horses and my wife and I, is seen on a daily basis. The benefits of your mats, was very much realized by us when we got a call at 5:00 am in the morning. Our neighbor’s horse cast in his stall because the 4×6 mats, had so much bedding packed around the edges ,it formed a cradle and the horse could not get up."

"We are VERY pleased with the mats. They are holding up well; no slipping, tearing, or uneven areas. The horses can not “pull” them up, paw them up, or chew on them.
The horses are spoiled by the mats and we have no stall sores or stocking up. Our show horses take a nap, laying flat every afternoon, like clockwork! After being turned out, the horses always look forward to returning to their stall. I’m personally not a big fan of stalling all the time, but showing them requires it. I’m now guilt free in regards to keeping our horses stalled regularly, because I know they enjoy their mats. It’s nice that the horses are so comfortable in their “man made” home.
In regards to bedding, we use a certain brand of bedding pellets. Two bags are plenty and, depending on the horse, the bedding lasts a week or more. Stripping the stall is NEVER needed. No more dragging mats, digging out raised areas, fixing corners, etc. Periodically, we like to wash out and sterilize the stall mats. It is very easy to do this WHILE still in the stall! The mats have proven to be exactly as represented! Great product and we’d recommend them to anyone.
At first, I was reluctant to put stalls on concrete. However, after researching your product, we decided to give it a try. I wouldn’t change a thing! The horses would never know they are standing on concrete. This also helps out with keeping everything clean and even.
The mats are always commented on when people visit the farm."

"We installed the Stable Comfort System in one of our barns here at Windward Stud last year and have enjoyed terrific results ever since. Not only have we reduced the amount of bedding we use in these stalls, we feel it has provided our horses with a cleaner, safer, more comfortable environment. This product is a must for any stable searching for that extra edge in efficiency."

"The StableComfort stall floor system has put the finishing touch to our goal of the perfect stabling environment for our horses. They rest better and seem to be much more relaxed and comfortable. I notice a better attitude due to a relief from the hard flooring that is common in most stabling areas. Very easy to clean and maintain with less bedding material. I only wish they were portable."

"We love our horse mattress system. It has cut down on our sawdust bill and our horses hocks are no longer scraped up.
Thanks so much for the great customer service. We will definitely recommend your product to other horse lovers."

"We have three 2009 foals on StableComfort stalls at the moment, and they LOVE it. I also have a broodmare in a small StableComfort stall. She is half way through her pregnancy, has very sore feet and now she is much more comfortable for sure. We also stripped one stall after one foal moved outside and before the next one moved in, the help were thrilled with how much easier it was to strip the stall, wash it down and put new shavings in it without having to resurface the entire stall first. It's a great product!"

"“Promat's Stable Comfort stall flooring system has had a large impact on my performance horses. This stall flooring system stays evenly distributed over time, and has increased the performance of my equine partners. I have especially noticed a difference with the soundness and happiness of my older horses. I would highly recommend Stable Comfort to anyone trying to cater to the welfare of their horses.”

"I am extremely pleased with the StableComfort floors I installed in our little family stable. Let me tell you why.
We were boarding our 19 year old Hackney pony mare and 9 year old Peruvian horse gelding at a stable that had hard rubber stall mats over a dirt floor. No matter how much bedding we put down, the mare was often stiff and sore, and the gelding had sores on his hocks. The mats shifted and were hard to clean. In addition, the smell of urine was tough to overcome. When we bought a house and built our own little 5-stall stable, we wanted something better for our equine friends. After speaking with several veterinarians and researching on the internet, we decided to install the StableComfort stall floors. That decision turned out to be more critical than we could have known.
I installed the floors in all five stalls by myself in a matter of days. We used well-compacted road base mix for a subfloor. All of our horses (we now have four) love their stalls, and spend time lying down in them every night. The Hackney pony mare, now 20, is as spry as a 6 year old; the Peruvian horse’s hock sores are a thing of the past. Our third horse, an Appaloosa gelding that had never been stabled before, adjusted to his stall without any issues. The stalls are very easy to clean and disinfect, and use of excess bedding has plummeted.
A few months ago, my 10 year old daughter earned $100 in one month to purchase a 4 month old Mustang/Appaloosa foal that was starving. Due to his early malnutrition, Wind Dancer’s joints did not form properly, and he ended up tearing the cartilage in his right front fetlock at 8 months of age. Surgery by an equine joint specialist was required to save the foal. In the days leading up to the surgery, he spent nearly all the time lying down in his stall, and I was very thankful for the soft floor he had to rest on. During surgery, a cartilage flap that had torn had to be removed, and he was left with bare bone--no cartilage--on the major weight-bearing part of the fetlock joint. The surgeon stated that it was the most significant damage he had ever operated on; prognosis for recovery was very grim. Following surgery, he has been confined to his stall for 30 days; we are now at the 12 day point in this stall rest period. With the cushioning of the StableComfort floor, his recovery has been nothing short of phenomenal, as assessed by our veterinarian yesterday as she removed his sutures. He walks and trots with only a minor limp, and does not seem to be at the level of pain one would expect from such massive damage. As his stall rest continues, I am so thankful that he has a safe, soft, cushioned place to recuperate.
I am thoroughly impressed with StableComfort, and recommend this stall floor to anyone who has horses, especially rescues and horses recovering from injury or surgery to the legs."

"The Stable Comfort flooring system is a better product than I imagined. Therefore, I like it better than I thought I would. It has streamlined our cleaning efforts and reduced the amount of bedding discarded daily. I wish I had installed them when the barn was built instead of waiting!"

"I easily installed your mats in my three stalls and I am constantly amazed how quickly the morning muck out goes. My horses had a terrible time with ammonia build up in other barns that I boarded in and having a system that would not allow seepage into the ground was paramount. StableComfort's mat and cushion combination solved all the problems that had frustrated me for years. I use 75% less shavings and cleanup is a breeze. My horses all lie down and sleep well at night and I have noticed all my horse are better rested and now wait at the gate to come in every night to their StableComfort stalls.
Thanks for such a great product.

"We met Brian at the Equine Affair in Springfield, Massachusetts in November of 2008. At that time, our new facility was just a vision, and Brian became a trusted resource and valued advisor throughout the process of making the many decisions we had to make for our barn. He was very generous with his time, always responded quickly to questions. We relied on him throughout the building of the facility to give us unbiased advice. With all that service and support, we still got the most competitive pricing for products - a great package!
If there was one product that I would say could transform a barn from "good" to "great" it's the Stable Comfort mattress system, which we figure will pay for itself in a few months in bedding savings, and makes it possible for us to maintain a 20 stall facility ourselves without paying for extra labor and without taking up so much time that all we do in a day is clean stalls.
Our horses are all sleeping happily on their Stable Comfort mattresses (everyone wakes up with sawdust in their ears). It now takes roughly 3 minutes per stall to clean - instead of 20. We are using a tiny fraction of the bedding we were using, but the actual impact of the system in terms of saved labor and expense, plus the way our horses are responding to them, has been incredible. We are all really happy about them and everyone who visits the barn is blown away - they lay down on them to see what they feel like and pretty much everyone says the same thing: I could live here myself and be very happy!
